Roofing covers everything from re-roofs and repairs to flat roofing, guttering and fascias. It’s also a trade where poor work is hard to spot until it fails, which makes the checks below matter more than most.
Beyond the general checks we run on every business — a live, in-good-standing Companies House record and current public liability insurance — roofing has its own recognised accreditation bodies worth knowing about: the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), CompetentRoofer (a Competent Person Scheme that allows self-certification of work under Building Regulations), and TrustMark, the government-endorsed scheme. A roofer holding one of these has had their work independently assessed against a published standard, not just self-declared.
Where a business shown here has had its insurance or an accreditation like these checked and confirmed directly against the issuing body, that’s recorded on its profile as Verified or Verified Plus, dated. Where a business is shown at Listed only, we have confirmed its Companies House status and nothing more. See our Verification Standards page for exactly what each tier means before you get in touch with anyone listed here.
